Physical Therapy Tech Jobs description
There are plenty of technical jobs available in the field of therapy, as many institutes and hospitals hire more techs and fewer therapists in order to cut costs. A tech job opening may be open to physical therapy techs, rehabilitation therapy techs, speech therapy techs, occupational therapy techs, etc.The main responsibility of a technician is to work under the direct supervision and guidance of a therapist. A therapy technician provides basic care and assists with therapy under the supervision of the therapist. Answering the phone, taking inventory, completing forms and ordering and stocking supplies is also part of a tech job profile.
Minimum qualification required for a tech job is a bachelor’s degree. College degree in a related field is preferred. Ability to follow the directions and orders of a licensed therapist is a must. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. A technician must be enthusiastic and helpful, be willing to follow orders and must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
